I walk every morning to do my chores of feeding goats and calves. This was as I was finishing up my feeding. I love this sunrise because it was taken from a place I travel across every morning and also because today is my father, Tom Berry’s, 75th birthday.
Today's Wyoming sunrise was taken during the Big Horn Mountain Roundup and shows the sun coming up behind Burnt Mountain in the northern Big Horns. Taken by Doyl Fritz from Wolf, Wyoming.
Sunrise photo was taken on 7/26 at 05:50am during the ascent of Gannett Peak (Wyoming's High Point at 13,810 feet) on the north side of Gooseneck Pinnacle at about 12,375 feet.Summit occurred at approximately 08:10am. Elsa (turned two on July 15th) climbed the entire route without assistance other than about 20 feet of snow that was too vertical for her to get traction. I kept her on a short climbing rope for safety sake during all the snow traversing.
